 | I didn't know what to think of this film when it came out, so I just rented it one day. I was very impressed! The chemistry between Ford and Heche was good and the story moved at a fast pace that kept you on the edge of your seat wondering what would happen next. What you could call a "Delightful" movie, I would strongly recommend it.
Romantic comedy-adventure that opens in New York where fast-paced magazine associate editor Robin Monroe (Anne Heche) and her boyfriend, Frank (David Schwimmer), leave for a week's vacation on a remote island. They've already been together for three years, so when Frank asks her to marry him, she says yes.
For a one-day Tahiti photo shoot, Robin engages the services of South Pacific cargo pilot Quinn Harris (Harrison Ford). Robin and Quinn head off to do the shoot, but a squall forces Quinn to land his DeHavilland Beaver on the beach of a remote, unknown island. With broken landing gear, they're trapped there. Search parties set forth. Robin and Quinn cope with each other. Survival skills surface. Sexual tensions escalate. Meanwhile, back at the hotel, Frank and Quinn's girlfriend, Angelica (Jacqueline Obradors), compare concerns at the hotel bar. Several days later, the search is called off. Quinn and Robin are left to their own devices, including removing pontoons from a convenient Japanese war plane and attempting a take off. |

 | Note to producers: For God's sake, if you're gonna make a movie about being stranded on a deserted island, don't film it on Kauai. The idea that a large and utterly gorgeous island like Kauai could be deserted removes any semblance of credibility your movie could have had. |

 | Wow, I didn't think I'd like this movie...
I did! It was really entertaining, the acting was great, can't really go wrong with Harrison Ford.
What surprised me was the great chemistry between Heche and Ford, it works really well.
I was fully entertained from minute one. I recommend this film highly. |

 | I saw this on cable many moons ago and laughed my butt off! I went out and bought it the next day. I still watch this movie and enjoy it even though I know the plot. Favorite bit: Harrison Ford strangling the bush! Clever dialogue, sharp performances and an all around fun adventure! Check out the soon to be Jango Fett as the leader of the pirates! The only liability is the always annoying David Schwimmer, but he does a good job in this one (and isn't in it as much as the leads, thank God)Anyway rent it buy it or whatever, I did. |

 | Litte late to be reviewing this, I don't own the movie, but I've rented it a few times, it's about 2 people being stranded on an island after crashing in a plane in a heavy storm, and they have to survive for six days, and seven nights, this movie is a great adventure, and also funny in some parts, check it out today, if you haven't seen it already. |
