Cheech Marin is a paradox in the world of entertainment. Best known as one half of the hilariously irreverent, satirical, counter-culture, no-holds-barred duo of ‘Cheech and Chong.’ Actor, director, writer, musician, art collector and humanitarian, Cheech Marin is a man who has enough talent, humor and intelligence to do just about anything.

Cheech is in high demand these days making the transition from film to television where he co-stars with Don Johnson in the CBS one-hour drama NASH BRIDGES airing Friday nights at 10:00 P.M. As a multi-generational star – or as Cheech jests, "People know me from the womb to the tomb," – he attracts fans through his comedy and films, as well as his children’s projects. To this day, ‘Cheech and Chong’ films are the number one weekend video rental.

Cheech just completed production on the Alfonso Arau-directed black comedy PICKING UP THE PIECES starring Woody Allen. He was last seen in the Dream Works Pictures modern-day fable PAULIE with Tony Shalhoub. In the past Cheech co-starred in TIN CUP where he played caddy and best buddy to Kevin Costner. Cheech has also starred opposite Samuel Jackson, Jeff Goldblum and Damon Wayans in THE GREAT WHITE HYPE, and opposite George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino for Robert Rodriguez in FROM DUSK TILL DAWN, as well as Rodriguez’s DESPARADO alongside Antonio Banderas. In addition, Cheech has signed with Noble House Entertainment to direct and star in a romantic comedy, ANGEL OF OXNARD.

Cheech was born in South Central L.A. and raised in Granada Hills, a suburb of the San Fernando Valley. The critically acclaimed duo ‘Cheech and Chong’ was born in Vancouver, British Columbia when he met Tommy Chong. Eventually the team moved back to Los Angles where they performed their stand-up/music act at clubs all over L.A. until music industry magnate Lou Adler discovered them at ‘The Troubador’.
