So We Meet Again
David Charvet got his start working as a model for Elite at the age of 18. He appeared in a number of campaigns, most notably Coca-Cola and Levi’s. Two years later, he branched out to acting and made his favorable debut as lifeguard Matt Brody in the world’s most watched series of its time, “Baywatch.” He stayed with a role that made him recognized internationally until 1995 to study acting and pursue additional career opportunities.
After “Baywatch,” Charvet costarred as a young husband and contractor who has an affair with a psychopathic (Susan Lucci) in the drama/thriller made-for-TV film Seduced and Betrayed (1995) and had a lead as a zealous horse breeder in the ABC romance film Derby, that same year. The next year, he joined Patricia Kalember and Christopher Atkins in television film Angel Flight Down, in which he portrayed a member of emergency medical team dealing with survival following the team’s plane crashes.
Charvet’s career, however, did not gain another boost until 1996, when he joined the cast of the hit Fox primetime soap “Melrose Place,” playing the role of Craig Field. Charvet left the show in 1998 and in 1999, he starred with Tia Carrere in the independent film Meet Prince Charming (1999). The romance is directed by Brett Parker and written by Nina Colman.
In addition to acting, Charvet is a recording artist and has signed a five-album deal with Universal Music Group France. His debut album, David Charvet, was released in 1997, and his sophomore, Leap of Faith, hit the music shelves in 2002. Following the well-received albums, Charvet launched his third pop rock album titled Se laisser quelque chose in France in 2004. To date, his albums have sold over 2.5 millions thanks to such chart-topping singles as “Leap of Faith,” “Should I Leave” and “The Tears in My Eyes.” Charvet has toured extensively throughout Europe and Asia to promote his albums.
Charvet is set to star in the forthcoming feature film Reality Show, which schedule to begin production in France this December. Also, he is now working on his next album, So We Meet Again (reportedly released in September).
