Appearing in commercials as a child, Emily Osment, the younger sister of famous child actor Haley Joel Osment, is now popular among young TV viewers as Lilly Truscott/Lola, the best friend and biggest fan of Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana, in the hit Disney Channel musical sitcom starring Miley Cyrus, "Hannah Montana" (2006-Present). She has also appeared in the TV series "3rd Rock from the Sun," "Touched by an Angel," and "Friends," as well as the TV movies "Sarah, Plain and Tall: Winter's End" (1999) and "Dadnapped" (2009).
On the big screen, Osment, who made her film debut in "The Secret Life of Girls" (1999), played Gerti Giggles in the "Spy Kids" movies "Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams" (2002) and "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over" (2003). She also costarred in "Soccer Mom" (2008) and will reprise her "Hannah Montana" role in its upcoming film version, "Hannah Montana: The Movie" (2009).
This 5' 2½" young actress with a vivacious spirit and adorable blonde locks is also a singer and songwriter. She has released several singles, including "I Don't Think About It" (with "Hannah Montana" costar Mitchel Musso), "If I Didn't Have You," and "Once Upon a Dream."

The younger sister of Academy Award nominated actor Haley Joel Osment (born on April 10, 1988), Emily Jordan Osment was born on March 10, 1992, in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, Theresa Osment (born in 1960), is a teacher, and her father, Eugene Osment (born in 1959), is an actor who also serves as the acting coach for Emily and Haley.
Emily was a student at the Flintridge Preparatory School in La Cañada, California. She left school and opted for private tutoring.

In her spare time, she enjoys singing, writing action novels, knitting, and playing golf and soccer. She taught Miley Cyrus, her costar on “Hannah Montana,” how to knit and learned from Miley how to play guitar. Emily is also good friends with her “Hannah Montana” costar Mitchel Musso and is friends with the Jonas Brothers, but is not a fan of their music. She likes the rock bands AC/DC, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Modest Mouse.
Alongside other Disney stars, Emily participated in Disney Channel's Earth Day in early 2008 to teach kids how to help the environment with small changes in their homes and neighborhoods. She had previously supported the Unicef Foundation as part of the Disney Channel Games 2007 and teamed up with the Unicef Foundation again in 2007 to raise money for sick children. She also participated in the 10th Annual L.A. Cancer Challenge and worked with St. Jude Research Hospital to raise money for children. She has agreed to sign CosmoGIRL! for President Shirts for a charity online auction and designed a line of t-shirts for 2lovecollection in 2007, with the proceeds going to the Make-a-Wish Foundation and St. Jude Research Hospital.

While her brother Haley was busy being nominated for an Oscar for his role in the blockbuster thriller "The Sixth Sense," 6-year-old Emily Osment made her first professional appearance in a commercial for the mega flower delivery company FTD. She went on to appear in a number of other commercials until she received a small role in her first feature film, Holly Goldberg Sloan's “The Secret Life of Girls” (1999; starring Linda Hamilton, Eugene Levy, and Meagan Good), when she was 8 years old.

Osment followed it up with the supporting role of Cassie Witting in the TV movie “Sarah, Plain and Tall: Winter's End” (1999; starring Glenn Close and Christopher Walken), for which she received a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Performance in a TV Movie or Pilot - Young Actress Age Ten or Under. She also had a guest spot in a November 1999 episode of NBC's sci-fi sitcom, "3rd Rock from the Sun."

Entering the new millennium, Osment teamed up with brother Haley for the first time in the 7-minute animated 3D film based on the book by Berkeley Breathed, “Edward Fuddwupper Fibbed Big” (2000), voicing the role of Fannie, the sister of Haley's character Edward. She then guest starred in an episode of the CBS family drama series "Touched by an Angel" and the hit NBC sitcom "Friends."
In 2002, Osment had her first starring feature role in Robert Rodriguez's movie “Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams,” playing Gerti Giggles opposite Alexa Vega, Daryl Sabara, Antonio Banderas, and Carla Gugino. Her performance in the film earned her a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Performance in a Feature Film - Young Actress Age Ten or Under. She would later reprise the role for the sequel "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over" (2003) and received another Young Artist Award nomination, this time for Best Young Ensemble in a Feature Film.
