The classically-trained actor Gabriel Byrne, born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, supplies the voice of Patrick.

Gabriel began acting with the Abbey Theatre and later joined the Royal Court Theatre in London. He made his feature film debut in John Boorman's "Excalibur."

Gabriel Byrne has been praised as one of the finest actors of our time. In addition to an acclaimed career as a feature film actor, he is a Tony Award nominated stage actor and Academy Award nominated Producer.

Gabriel starred in his first American film under the Coen Brothers in their highly acclaimed feature "Miller's Crossing." Soon after, Gabriel produced and starred in "Into The West" opposite Ellen Barkin. He then produced the tremendously acclaimed feature "In The Name of the Father," which earned several Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture.

A filmmaker and actor a the top of his game, Gabriel starred in the Academy Award nominated film "The Usual Suspects" with Kevin Spacey and Benicio Del Toro. That same year he starred in the independent films "Smilla's Sense of Snow" with Julia Ormond, "The End of Violence" for director Wim Wenders, and "Polish Wedding" with Lena Olin and Claire Danes.

With his return to the stage, Gabriel was nominated for the Tony Award for his lead role as James Tyrone, Jr. in Eugene O'Neill's revival of "The Moon for the Misbegotten."

Gabriel was last seen in the Joel Silver produced "Ghost Ship" and opposite Ralph Fiennes in the thriller "Spider."

He has recently wrapped production on several films including the feature film "Vanity Fair" (Focus Features) with Reese Witherspoon, directed by Mira Nair, a romantic comedy "P.S.," opposite Laura Linney & Marcia Gay Harden and "The Bridge of San Luis Rey" opposite Robert De Niro and Kathy Bates.

Dividing his time between writing, producing and acting, Gabriel has also published the book "Pictures in My Head," his autobiography, which became a critically acclaimed bestseller.
