SummaryA wonderful story for die-hard romantics and children.
Content
This is as great veriation of a very old story. Hillary Duff is an amazing actress, even if she thinks she would rather start a music career. Ms. Duff can sing, but I would much rather see her in movies. She shines as Cinderella, and this modern version of the classic story seems to be made for her. It is romantic, and very heart warming, and my son loved it as did I.

Summarydon't listen 2 the parents
Content
the reason this movie is 2 is because of the online dating. i don't care who u are any movie with online dating deserves a 2 this is not the only reason.hilary duffs acting really sucked.
Chad michael Murray also could have done better job. his actng in this movie is nothing compared 2 how he acts on oth.plus if sam mother really hates her then why would she give her a cellphone. and between the chores school and her job how does sam find the time 2 have online dating partner.the only reason parents suggest it because supposedly hilary duff is a good girl and it is supposedly a clean movie. since when is online dating clean?

SummaryHilary Duff Is A Cinderella!
Content
I believe "A Cinderella Story" is Ms. Duff's best movie. I am her number one fan!! I saw it on opening day with my best friends. While A Cinderella Story isn't laugh out loud funny like American Wedding or something, it is funny at the moment it needs to be and serious when it needs to be.

The remake of the Walt Disney classic, "Cinderella", "A Cinderella Story" has a good and impressive cast, including Hilary Duff, Jennifer Coolidge, (American Pie) Regina King, (Ray) Chad Michael Murray (TV's One Tree Hill and 'Freaky Friday') and also some less known actors, Dan Byrd and Julie Gonzalo (Freaky Friday and Christmas with the Kranks)

The movie starts off with Samantha Montgomery, about nine years old. Sam is a young tomboy who lives with her widowed father, Hal Montgomery. The nightmare begins on Sam's birthday at her father's locally famed diner. After Hal's run in with Fiona, the cruel woman who would soon become his wife, Hal is convinced Fiona is the one for him.

Then, when drama strikes, Sam is basically stuck with Fiona and her horrible daughters, Brianna and Gabriella. She loses her father one night when he reads her a fairy tale, telling her that fairy tales aren't always about balls and handsome princes, they're about following your dreams, and standing up for what you believe in, saying the movie's unforgettable line, 'never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game.'
Then, the 1991 North Ridge Earthquake strikes, and Sam loses not only her father, but her best friend.

Then, we go into the cyberspace admirer, played by Murray, Austin Ames's part. Little does Sam know, instead of the closet poet she thought she was texting and e-mailing is actually the star football captain and the cheerleader's hot boyfriend. Then, the unexpected invite to the Halloween dance at North Valley High School comes. Sneaking around behind Fiona's back despite her refusal to let Sam go, the story falls into place.

Sam gets to dance with her Prince Charming, but refuses to tell him who she is. Nervous he will turn her down, Sam feels it is best if he does not know who she is. Then, her evil stepsisters find out that Sam is Cinderella, after reading her e-mails. Confronting the cheerleaders, and telling her what was going on (with a twist of course) the cheerleaders hold a pep rally telling the story humiliating Sam and finally confessing the truth about who Austin was dating.

Afterwards, Fiona at the house finds something rather interesting-- an acceptance letter from Princeton, the college Sam had been dying to go to since her father loved it so much.
Being the wicked and sinful person Fiona is, she created a fake rejection letter to ruin the already depressed Sam's life more.

The best scene is when Sam confronts Austin and Fiona. As Sam says to Fiona: "You can mess with your hair and your nose and your face and you can even mess with my dad's diner. But you're through messing with me." Then, it goes to the boys locker room, where Sam confronts Austin saying after a long speech: "I know the person who wrote those e-mails is somewhere inside you. But I can't wait for him. Because waiting for you is like waiting for rain in this drought. Useless and disappointed."

The recovered Sam and her best friend, Carter (Dan Byrd) then go to Austin's big championship football. Not taking the celebrity impact Austin has on the crowd, Sam breaks down and chooses to go home. Austin seeing Sam leave, quits the game and runs out in the stands, giving this movie a very happy ending... after a long make out scene, that is.

In the end, the evil people get revenge and Sam and Austin live happily ever after-- for now at least. Hey, she's only a freshman!

This movie is good for parents to take their children to see because the teen queen good imaged Hilary Duff will never fail you in being the good girl! ACS is rated PG, but still is a family comedy for you all to enjoy.

SummaryGood!
Content
Hilary Duff (Lizzie Mcguire, Cadet Kelly) stars as Sam in this funny, family-friendly movie. It's well-acted and has a good message behind it-"Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game." It's funny in places and shows just how dreams can come true. If you like Hilary Duff's other movies you will like this one! However, her newest movie, The Perfect Man is very disappointing and not I'm going to skip it. In conclusion, a movie definitely worth renting!
