Although Lindsay Price is new to the commercial music scene, she has been involved with music since childhood. Growing up, Price’s creativity and energy led her to take piano, dance, acting, and singing lessons. Her originality and creativity were apparent at an early age. She began to write her own songs on the piano after becoming frustrated playing and practicing other people’s music.

At age 12, Price began four years of serious studies in musical theater with the famous trainer Seth Riggs (clients include Michael Jackson, Bette Midler and many more). At age 14, she moved to NY to work as an actress on the soap opera, All My Children. As her acting career began to grow, Lindsay was forced to put music aside and focus on acting. She didn’t write or sing again until last year at 25 years old.

After a ten year hiatus, her pull back into music came as a necessity rather than a hobby. During a hard year of unemployment and family illness she needed an emotional outlet. She began to pour her heart into songwriting and singing. The result is her lyrically rich upcoming debut album. With music, she had full creative freedom and control to express who she really is.

Price’s new album is influenced by groups like Portishead, Sneaker Pimps, Mazzy Star and Air. Lindsay’s strong vocal performance draws on the inspiration of great jazz vocalists such as Sarah Vaughn and Billy Holiday and her style has been compared to Fiona Apple.
