SummaryYou Want to See This, You Want to Like This, You Want to Buy This...
Content
This movie is a fun little time-passer that's lightweight and pretty funny. Sandra Bullock gets a perfect movie to showcase her comedic talents as Gracie Hart, an FBI agent who is assigned to go undercover to stop someone from destroying the Miss USA pageant by threating all those involved. Gracie is of course a tomboy and has to learn to fit in with all the flirtatious and bubble-headed contestants.

The Deluxe Edition features are really nothing to get excited about though...The Shatner hosted 'Are You A Beauty Queen?' is ridiculous...probably because I'm a male...but I'm really thinking females would get bored with it fairly quickly as well. I was hoping it would be amusing for anyone to play (kinda like the 'Do You Have Anger Issues?' game on the 'Anger Management' disc).

Anyway...This is definitely not a memorable classic that will be quoted for ages, but it doesn't really matter. It's a very enjoyable movie that's good for a fun movie night.

SummarySanda Bullock, ugly?
Content
Getting past the impossibility of making Sandra Bullock look ugly is a tall chore, but it's a fun movie. `Sorta reminds me of Cher in Moonstruck. She was gorgeous even when she was "plain".

SummaryMINDLESS MERRIMENT
Content
Most reviewers seem to agree that if you suspend your credibility expectations and enjoy this frothy romp for what it is, then MISS CONGENIALITY is okay. I enjoyed watching the film, but didn't laugh as much as I would have expected. Sandra Bullock is a competent actress, smart enough to know what she does well and what her fan base wants from her. Going from the rather unfeminine workaholic nerd to the potentially sophisticated beauty, Bullock works her part heartily and seems to be having a good time. The fellow pageant hopefuls are fun at times, but Cheryl's stupidity (When William Shatner asks her about her ideal "perfect date," she comes up with something like "April 21.") is sometimes too broad. Shatner is fun as the Bert Parks wannabe and Candice Bergen is a scene stealer as the pageant's director with a dark underlying agenda. The movie tries to elevate the necessity for these cattle calls by focusing on the scholarship potential, but MISS CONGENIALITY does little to justify their existence. A fun if forgettable flick!
