 | The main difference would be the remastering of the film itself, which means 5.1 soundtrack and, more importantly, a new anamorphic transfer, whereas the previous edition was not.
As for extra features, not a full-fledged special edition, but interesting enough:
- audio commentary with F.F. Coppola
- deleted scenes
- a making of featurette
- a Percussion based score feature containing contemporary and archival footage plus interviews with Stuart Copeland of The Police, and a Don't Box Me In music video. |

| I saw this film when it first came out back in 1984 at the theater. I like this movie because I have memory from back them. Now, I do not know what is the difference between this SPECIAL EDITION, and ORIGINAL Edition DVD. ANYONE?? |
