Background:
Actress Natalie Gold has appeared in several television and film
productions. She is known as Dr. Helen Randall in the Edward Zwick film
“Love and Other Drugs” (2010) and for her roles in the
television series “Guiding Light” (2007-2008, as Suzie) and
“Rubicon” (2010, as Julia Harwell). She has guest starred
in popular television shows like “Law & Oder,”
“Law & Oder: Criminal Intent” and “Without

Career:
Natalie Gold made her television acting debut as Claudia in an episode
of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” called
“Gemini” (2003). She would later return to the series to
make guest appearances in three more episodes called
“False-Hearted Judges” (2005), “Abel &
Willing” (2010) and “To the Boy in the Blue Knit Cap”
(2011), in which she portrayed Maya, an interviewer and Danielle Magee,
respectively.
Gold had her first film stint as a divorced woman in the drama/thriller
“Noise,” which was helmed by Tony Spiridakis, penned by
Lance Doty and starred Julia Barnett, Ted Bardy and Sarah Bloom. The
film won six awards at five film festivals.
Gold continued to appear in episodes of TV shows like “Without
Trace” (2005, as paramedic), “Law & Order” (2006,
as Alex) and “Six Degrees” (2006) before scoring a part in
the long running drama television soap “Guiding Light.” She
played Suzie during 2007-2008.
In 2007, Gold landed a small part as a secretary in Sidney Lumet's
critically acclaimed crime/drama film, “Before the Devil Knows
You're Dead.” It starred Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ethan Hawke,
Marisa Tomei, and Albert Finney. The same year, she also starred in a
12 minute length short called “December Story,” by Jacob
Rosenberg. Two years later, she had an uncredited part as Assistant
District Attorney in “The International” (2009), an
action/crime movie starring Clive Owen, Naomi Watts and Armin
Mueller-Stahl. The year also found the actress appear in episodes of
“Important Things with Demetri Martin” and “The Good
Wife” (as Anna Loeb).
In 2010, Gold was cast as Julia Harwell in the conspiratorial spy drama
series “Rubicon,” which aired on AMC from June
13, 2010 until October 17, 2010. Co-stars in the series
included James Badge Dale, Jessica Collins, Lauren
Hodges, Dallas Roberts, Christopher Evan Welch, Arliss Howard and
Miranda Richardson. Still in 2010, Gold offered a notable turn as Dr.
Helen Randall in the romance/comedy film “Love and
Other Drugs,” adapted from the non-fiction book “Hard Sell:
The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman” by Jamie Reidy. Directed and
written by Edward Zwick, it received mixed reviews from critics, and
made a worldwide total of $102,313,925, over $70 million of which from
the international market. Stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway both
were nominated for Golden Globe Awards in the categories of Best Actor
– Motion Picture Musical or Comedy and Best
Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, respectively.
In 2011, Gold portrayed Karen in the Kelly Hu comedy vehicle
“Almost Perfect,” which premiered at the San Francisco
International Asian American Film Festival on March 13, 2011. Besides,
she appeared as a young mother with cell phone in “I Don't Know
How She Does It” (2011), a comedy film based on Allison Pearson's
novel of the same name and starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Pierce
Brosnan, and Greg Kinnear.
Recently, in 2012, Gold played the supporting role of Jill in the
comedy film “Fairhaven,” which was helmed by Tom
O'Brien and starred Sarah Paulson, Chris Messina and Rich Sommer. It
was shown at the Provincetown International Film Festival on June 17,
2012.
Gold has appeared on stage in a production of “Language of Tress” at the Roundabout Theatre Company.
