SummaryDecent Flick
Content
Stallone directed and starred in this 1978 film about three Italian-American brothers, living in the slums of New York during the 1940's. They try to help each other with one's wrestling career using one brother's (Sly) promotional skills and another brother's con-artist tactics (Armand Assante) to thwart a shady manager. One might quickly see similarities with Rocky, but that's inevitable regarding the fact that this was made between 'Rocky' (1976) and 'Rocky II' (1979). There's a nicely balanced blend of humor and drama, and Stallone writes and directs well-reminiscing how Sly forgot to yell 'Action' several times since directing was such a new job to him. His original idea for this script was to make all the main characters African-American; He could not find the financing for the film until he starred in it himself and changed the other characters to Italian-Americans. Oh, and the theme song 'Too close to paradise' is sung by Sly, sung well in my opinion but you judge for yourselves. Overall a pretty decent movie, check it out.

SummaryWow its about time.....
Content
One of my favorite Sylvester Stallone movies, its about time it came out on dvd.To bad the price pretty much says its just a dvd an nothing more.Like no making of the movie an any other extras. But i'm keeping my fingers crossed..It also stars the legendary pro wrestler Terry Funk, who plays what he knows best..A bad guy wrestler, still great stuff if your a wrestling fan..........
