Background:
American actress Taylor Atelian is perhaps best known for her role as
James Belushi and Courtney Thorne-Smith's daughter Ruby on the popular
television sitcom “According to Jim” (ABC, 2001-2009), from
which she picked up a total of six Young Artist nominations. The 2002
Wee Miss also has appeared in several television commercials and stage
plays as well as in the 2008 TV film “Mother Goose Parade.”
Atelian's hobbies include dancing, singing, and talking to friends on the phone. She has a big Labrador named Cody.

Childhood and Family:
Taylor Marie Atelian was born on March 27, 1995, in Santa Barbara,
California. She has two brothers. She went to the Rudenko School of
Dance in Santa Barbara, California. She is a trained tap, ballet and
jazz dancer.

Career:
Taylor Atelian got her first break on television when she landed the
role of Ruby, the elder daughter of James Belushi and Courtney
Thorne-Smith on the ABC hit sitcom “According to Jim,”
which ran for eight seasons from October 3, 2001 to June 2, 2009. The
role brought Atelian Young Artist nominations in the categories of Best
Performance in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama) - Young Actress Age Ten or
Under twice in 2002 and 2003, Best Performance in a TV Series (Comedy
or Drama) - Young Actress Age Ten or Younger three times in 2004, 2005
and 2006 and Best Performance in a TV Series - Supporting Young Actress
once in 2008.
During her tenure on the show, Atelian appeared commercials for Betty
Crocker (2001), Juicy Juice (2002), Band-Aid Brand (2002) and
Toyota Camry (2004). Along with “According to Jim” co-stars
James Belushi, Larry Joe Campbell and Billi Bruno, she appeared in a
commercial for ABC
called “ A Better Community” to promote the V-Chip.
She appeared in the music video for Brad Paisley's
“Celebrity” (2003), along with Jim Belushi, Jason Alexander
and William Shatner.
Taylor was crowned the “Wee Miss” winner at the 2002
Hawaiian Tropic West Coast Pageant. She continued to compete at the
West Coast Finals, in which she won the Talent and Hollywood Babe
competitions.
In 2008, Atelian was cast as Amanda Addison in “Reaper,” a
26 minute length film directed and written by Brian Diederich and
starring Aaron Pont, John Terry and Peter Facinelli. The same year, she
made her television movie debut in “Mother Goose Parade”
(2008). The family film was directed by Jillian Hanson-Cox and
starred Tori Spelling, KayCee Stroh and Adrian Gonzalez.
Taylor has appeared in a number of stage productions, including
“Alice in Wonderland,” “Babes in Toyland” and
“Pinocchio.”
